Lundin Danemo Kvintett: Nat

NAT (:Night)

It's late at night, the lights are low and people are sitting intimately close, conversing, intently yet casually in low but earnest voices.

Fredrik Lundin - tenor sax, flute and bass flute
Jan Allan - trumpet
Jonas Östholm - piano
Christian Spering - bass
Peter Danemo - drums

The age of the members in the band spans three generations in Scandinavian jazz music. From Jan Allan 70, he who played with all our heroes, being one himself, to Jonas Östholm representing the new young generation in Swedish music (30), with Danemo, Spering and Lundin representing the seasoned middle generation. This somehow feels very significant to us - just how, we're not entirely sure. Maybe you can hear it in the music, a combination of experience and recklessness, or maybe the point is, that you can't, that art communicates across generations, independent of age.
